Austria’s Eurovision 2025 representative, JJ, has performed his entry “Wasted Love” live for the first time.
JJ was announced as representing Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 on January 30 with “Wasted Love” revealed on March 6. The song was selected from the first songwriting camp held in Austria with the intention of creating songs for the Eurovision Song Contest. Three juries selected the Austrian representative: a 30 member national and international jury of music experts, a 30 member jury of Eurovision fans from 5 OGAE clubs, and the ORF Eurovision editorial team.
JJ is set to perform sixth in Semi-Final Two of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 on March 15.

Austria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957. Bob Martin represented the country on their debut but finished in the last place scoring just 3 points. Austria has won the contest twice, the first being in 1966 when Udo Jürgens performed “Merci, Cherie”. It was 48 years later when Austria won again when Conchita Wurst performed “Rise Like a Phoenix”, scoring a total of 290 points.
