  1. Change in domestic policy/business climate?

Good to see anyway, Europe has been lagging somewhat compared to other regions in the world in regards to new and emerging industries.

  2. The article seems at odds to the content.

In the article it says the UK, which I beleive has more investment than most of the EU combined, is 3x as much in the first half of the year as previous.

It seems France has pulled up level with Germany, but the UK is soaring ahead.

Perhaps it is written to get clicks during the UK/French fish war.

  3. It feels like the bit after the dash was added on by an editor chasing clicks, and has nothing to do with the article as written, as the article points out that the UK is outperforming France 3:1 in terms of capital raised.

France has apparently overtaken Germany, which is a great achievement and good evidence that Macron’s reforms are having the desired impact, but attempting a comparison to the UK in seems very premature.

  4. What I cannot fathom is that the french tech entrepreneurs actually start their companies inside the french borders. France has seriously rough taxes compared to its neighbours.
