  1. “China bad! Russia bad! Let’s be just like them!”

  2. Every programming language in the world is in english. Better start learning Chinese if we are going to switch places.

  3. They’re not trying to stop the outsourcing of white collar jobs, for obvious reasons

They’re bringing low wage jobs to US and will use guest visa program to fill them

  4. Right…and let’s pay the U.S. workers three times as much to assemble iPhones. Then, they will cost $2K to $3K. That’s winning!

  5. Imagine being so out of touch with reality to even consider selling the idea of human labor force shift in the middle of the automatization-robotics-AI revolution.

  6. All I can say is wow nothing like low wage jobs to get everyone excited

  7. That’s what I keep saying. Who the fuck in the US is going to glue soles on top sneakers or some bull shit? Most of these production jobs are jobs that Americans aren’t going to want.

  8. To be fair, he said will be automated. But good god, how stupid is the assumption is. If total automation is a thing can happen now, some productions have already been in US. If you need to rise price of good to have production in US, China can automate it, too, but for cheap. Just admit it, Trump admin wants to fund tax cut from tariff. What else is there to say.

  9. If it’s coming to America but is going to be automated, who’s getting the jobs?

  10. This guy is an -ex stockbroker. Having known many I can tell you they are not the brightest bulbs.

  11. Just go to Canada or Mexico to buy your iPhone. No tarrifs …

  12. Seriously when I hear and listen to this guy, I can’t believe he was the CEO of a major wall street investment bank..he sounds and looks dumb piece of shit.

  13. Did he just contradict himself??

Army of little screwing people are gonna come to America and it’s all gonna be automated…😂

    Then who’s gonna be screwing?

  14. What a clown. Nothing he says makes any sense; of course, that’s why he’s being interviewed. They don’t want Americans to know the facts.

  15. I’d rather it made in China. They’re great at manufacturing and we suck at it. They wont be made here until the assembly is fully automated.

  16. He does know the foxconn employees live in company dorms and cannot go home every night to achieve the productivity?

  17. And Trump did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals and fruit bats and large chalupas.

  18. Hurrah for child labour in factories doing meaningless unskilled labour for peanuts in unsafe conditions. what an inspiring vision of the future!

    /s

  19. Does this guy really believe the shit he is saying?

Modern smartphones using millions of human labor to screw itty bitty tiny screws on them? Does this guy not see type of automated technology behind [the assembly lines on this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ5t7zgoQRM)?

Does he think this is florida where they will have child labor working 24/7 with itty bitty screw drivers and ‘glueing’ american made computer chips into phones manually?

  20. Ask any of the trumptards if they are encouraging their kids to work in factories vs college? Why won’t reporters ask the tough questions.

  21. No their automated robots are gonna work on them and the American people will still be fucked.
no union, Low paying factory job for out of country workers To get college credit that doesn’t apply for Americans, new deductions for the “upgrade” on old factories etc. etc.

  22. “So easy, a child could do it…hey, there’s an idea! Millions of kids working after school to earn a few pennies and learn about company loyalty!”

  23. I would think that most of that work would be done by robots. Why pay a person to slowly punch in screws when you can have a robot quickly put in screws?

So even IF a factory would magically appear in the US tomorrow, most of that work is going to be automated.

  24. How he keeps a straight face is mind boggling. True talent in this one

  25. I’m 💯💯💯💯 in favor of bringing back jobs we exported. Let’s ensure Trump supporters fill these exciting jobs:
    Seamstress and clothes maker role
    Assembly of iPhone
    Shoe maker for Nike
    All other sweat shop jobs

  26. So iPhones will cost $5k if those workers are making minimum wage, if they make $1 a day then no one can afford iPhones in the U.S.

    what a smart play!

None of this matters though, because those manufacturing jobs are never coming back to the U.S. anyways.

  27. They know people kill themselves over there because of these jobs right

  28. That’s the end game for these cretins. It’s not about creating good prosperous jobs that raise the middle class and reinvigorate the American dream. It’s the further immiseration of Americans into becoming disposable wage slaves for billionaires. Side note: These fucking clowns have no clue about tech manufacturing.

  29. He’s the poster boy for the type of rich person who thinks anyone who isn’t also rich has got to be a moron.

  30. How is this man this stupid and in charge of anything?

  31. No, it’s not. It’ll be automated. In fact, much of it already is.

  32. Another billionaire dumb as fuck when it comes to common sense and people not in the 1%

  33. They’re going to make kids put in those little screws. Their hands are tiny!

  34. Nobody fucking wants this. This is the dumbest shit ever.

  35. He’s lying and he knows it.

Years and years ago Motorola brought manufacturing back to America. They wanted to be able to put out phones with new faster, without the multi-month lead times needed to ship from China by boat.

They used machines to build to phones, not people. Take away slave labor wages and you get machines, not jobs.
