Math is hard. “We have a trillion-dollar trade deficit with China” — Trump. In reality, it’s $270 billion a year (for goods and services).

Another way to say this is that China gives the US $270 Billion worth of *stuff* per year in return for some credits we made up, that we can make an infinite amount of for $0. And he thinks that’s a bad deal.
He’s not great with math unless it’s the cheating kind.
Imbecile 🍊 king lard Jesus is to important to do math much less understand it
He has serious cognitive decline and has no grip on reality or how the economy works. They are going to have to get him and Vance out of there.
“Trade deficit” why would a country with over saturated markets buy much more expensive products from another country. I’m confused by this
He just says whatever pops into his mind at the moment, with truth never being considered. I have a few nephews who are 4 and 5 years old exactly like this.
We are really screwing this up. China was giving us valuable goods and services, and we were giving them little pieces of paper with faces on them. We own the printer for those pieces of paper and could print as many as we want. Who was ripping who off?
The US dollar is going to lose its power, and we are going to look back and realize how lucky we were.
Impeach him already. What are Americans doing? This is your responsibility ffs
I don’t think it’s math that’s hard for him…it’s trying to not be a gaslighting psychopath that he has trouble with.

Pelosi used to be on the side of tariffs to even the playing field. That was until she got bribed by China.
Wait til you realize he thinks a trade deficit and the budget deficit are the same thing
A trade deficit is not an inherently bad thing. He just hears the word “deficit” and think it means we owe them something.
The sheer amount of financial ignorance is fucking flabbergasting.
He doesn’t factor in digital and software services in these equations. We gave up our factory jobs for higher paying technical jobs a long time ago.
