On this Veterans' Day, we honor all veterans and remember those who fought and gave their lives in humanitarian operations and peacekeeping missions. This morning, a ceremony was held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Congress Column in Brussels.
But additionally, the national flag was raised at the Royal Military Museum! (yes, that's us raising the flags under the Arches – no, we cannot just hang any flag, it saddens us too)

I thought that was on November 11, no?
Standing with your platoon in the Wetstraat awaiting the National Defilé you can see this from afar up on the hill. With the airplanes flying overhead and platoons marching to their position gives some serious vibes!
Alas, no one cares.
