Trump is asked about Turkey’s claims that it will stabilise the situation in Syria.

He says that he has a great relationship with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and that he doesn’t think it will be a problem.

He says that he can “work out” any problem that Israel has with Turkey gaining more control in Syria.

He adds that he had congratulated Erdogan for “taking over Syria”, adding that “he did something that nobody was able to do”.

The meeting has now finished, but stick with us. We’ll bring you more updates shortly.
