"Take a look at the video below. This was taken after only one showing of the blockbuster movie that has inspired a viral TikTok trend currently sweeping throughout cinemas is utterly shocking behaviour, certain individuals are shouting, clapping, swearing, kicking chairs, and throwing popcorn and drinks everywhere. Such disruption is taking place during almost every showing and is totally ruining the movie experience for genuine cinema customers and destroying our screens. The level of verbal abuse towards our staff and other customers is ridiculous. Our staff are genuinely trying their very best to control the situation to ensure all customers enjoy the movie. However, when staff request that disruptive customers leave the premises they are shouted at, swore at, and met with threats such as “make me” and much worse. We are saddened and disappointed that we have had to make a post like this, but no-one should have to tolerate such behaviour. We want everyone to enjoy their cinema experience. Please respect our cinema, our customers, and our staff.

  1. Well most cinemas ive been to have been letting inconsiderate people ruin the experience for others for a long time. Glad to see them putting their foot down for once, hopefully it applies to future movies but its sad its taken a Troubles level dirty protest to make them act

  2. Fucking tired of wank parents that allow their crotch goblins to ruin everyone else’s day

  3. That’s how the Omniplex in Lisburn looks when you arrive

  4. If i’m in the cinema and that happens your getting decked.

  5. Now give them all brushes and bin bags to clean it all up

  6. Can they not sit quietly and have a wank like the rest of us?

  7. Funny, I was in Cookstown cinema with the Minecraft movie on that day (earlier showing though)

But even if clapping is fine (I personally found it funny) that mess and jumping around is out of control, I’m glad Cookstown cinema is acting on it

But tbh, Minecraft is the first movie where I’ve experienced people making that much noise at the cinema

  8. Sunday at KFC Conswater, there was a crowd of youths (11-13 yr olds maybe) that were not allowed in. They locked the doors to keep them out. I’m assuming they’re a regular crowd and known to them. My kids were brought up with manners and respect, and if I thought they spoke to others the way those kids did to the workers, they’d get a boot up their holes!!

  9. Went to a screening on opening night at the cinema at the Odyssey with my lot. None of this carry on and everyone applauded at the end. Which was a first for me.

  10. It’s almost as if cunt parents letting kids grow up without consequences is a bad thing.

  11. I work in customer facing job and the public’s behaviour towards us as got noticeably worse over the years, the lack of respect for the place and other customers
