F35 is good, theirs a new advanced F15X varient in the works too though thats lower budget, non stealth option but still an effective fightet bomber aircraft.
Also hauls an considerable arsenal vs stealth jets.
The F15 platform is also extremly matured if countries worried about failure risks.
Also as its while high tech but not stealth, i imagine production be faster per unit meaning no decade long acquisition time lines.
Quick reminder of the advantage of buying Rafales:
* shaking hands with the best president.
* getting a joker card, France will appear if you scratch it.
* the planes are really not that bad.
* pay in holy euros, not dirty dollars.
* and free French lessons to fly the planes.
Why are people so ignorant of history these days?
Lmao imagine comparing an old 4th generation plane with a flying ipad like the F35.
IDK man…think I’ll have to pass on this one.
Hardly surprising after they spent in the neighborhood of half a trillion dollars on the thing with more than a trillion more to be paid over its lifetime, most of it paid for by the taxpayers. The whole idea was to export loads and thus spread the cost to make it cheaper.
1 plane for, like 400 million euros or so, as someone had said long ago: wars are becoming unaffordable.
How are the Czech going to afford that with a budget of 2b USD?
Former US Secretary of Defense called the F35 a flying piece of shit. If you want an expensive plane that can’t fly when it’s too hot, too cold or when there’s lightning, it’s great, otherwise buy something else.
I like how some compare Rafales with F35. You don’t have to if you buy both.
