And can you imagine how curious was goverment when they saw that some villages got their population x10 increased in short period of time. So they started to check who really is living there. And when they dont find you on that address, they simply freeze your residence.
Only consequence of this, is that you cant renew your documents, or vote on elections until you confirm your residence and address of living. Considering that most people from Kosovo that took Serbian passport is not living in Serbia, they are abroad. Their residence is frozen.
Solution is to come back to Serbia and report that you are living abroad. So you are still citizen of Serbia and have all rights that come with that.
In general, with Serbian law, all Kosovo people has right to take Serbian documents and nobody is forbidding them that. It is their right. But problem occurs when they invent this false accusations and trying to make that someone is trying to ethnic cleanse them.
Just proves once again, the need for Kosovo to exist. Under Serbia it would go like it always goes.
