  1. Noticed the meat and coffee jumped significantly in Lidl yesterday. All those 50 cent increases don’t be long adding up

  2. You ain’t seen nothin yet. Start cutting back, buying cheaper and saving so you can be ready for what’s coming. If it doesn’t come then you have a nice few bob out away, but if it does it could save you form hardship.

  3. €11.50 for a 300ml tin of L’Oreal deodorant.

    Get. T’fuck.

  4. Noticed Battenberg’s in Dunnes that still had the 7.45 sticker priced at 8.45.

Going up so fast the packaging can’t even keep up.

  5. Thought I’d walk to the shops to get something for lunch as it was such a nice day.

Three slices of turkey in supervalu was €6.89. ..enough to fill a single sandwich.

Will go back to having to drive to Aldi instead.

  6. I’ve really noticed it. Similar to someone else, some of Lidl’s shelf pricing isn’t keeping up with the increases you meet at the till.
Mentioned it to a few people who didn’t seem to notice.
Glad to know it’s not just me that’s noticed it!

  7. Why are they going up? The meat etc is produced in Ireland. It’s not like we export out meat to America. This is ridiculous

  8. i work in the store and sometimes help the teammates with the price labels. every week we have change over and every week the whole bunch of items are getting more expensive.

  9. Cool. Love this. Literally working to have my take home plundered by fucking EVERYTHING. At this rate, I’ll retire when I’m dead.

  10. Cadbury just implemented a 25% price increase across their entire range this month and another 20% increase is on the cards in June.

Recommended retail for a standard bar, Star Bar/Boost/Crunchie etc. will be €2.00 after the June increase.

I was selling all of these products for €1.20 in January.

  11. I feel like my favorite Aldi chips have gotten smaller again the bad is deffo smaller is there anywhere that’s tracks shrink flation as well as price changes

  12. I find doing it online with Tesco or Dunnes, I will set a budget of 80 a week and stick to it by finding what’s on offer. I am able to see the offers better online and feel a bit more disciplined

Usually can do a shop for me and the wife for about 80 quid and that’ll do us Monday to Thursday for food.
