France’s current account deficit widened to EUR 1.9 billion in February 2025 from a downwardly revised EUR 1.3 billion in the previous month.
This marked the largest current account deficit since April 2024, as goods account shortfall increased notably to EUR 6.4 billion from EUR 5.8 billion in January 2025.
On the other hand, services account surplus went up slightly to EUR 4.1 billion from EUR 4 billion.
In addition, the primary income surplus remained unchanged at EUR 4.3 billion in February 2025, while the secondary income deficit also remained steady at EUR 3.9 billion.
