What works for me is not using WhatsApp. Crazy idea, I know.
People regularly get wound up over these kinds of changes e.g. “The new facebook layout is terrible, I’ll never use it again” – and a month later it’s all forgotten.
Not a fan personally but it aint changed my life in any way.
This “feature” might be the kick in the ass needed to get everyone to switch to something better. Trying for a while to get my contacts to move to Signal or Telegram but on;y a handful
Im not angry, just disappointed. Doesnt bother me much anyway because it’s not getting in my way. Defo a gimmick addition.
I wish there was an easy and fast way to convince friends and family to switch over to Signal.

Wonder will it end up racist or something like some of the other AI’s
My phone is in Irish and that doesn’t stop it, so this advice is bollocks.
It almost makes little to no difference, I don’t understand. It’s just a chatGPT style thing that you don’t have to use.
Are we on AI=Bad here or what?
It disappeared from my WhatsApp yesterday
If only there was a way not to use features you’re not interested in.
If you don’t want your chats and data to be analyzed by AI, Meta, and Zuckerberg (Trump’s ass-licker, by the way), then switch to the Signal
Reminder to not have auto-update on for your apps so you can see this shit coming and avoid it until a solution can be enacted.
Why can’t people just ignore it.
I would switch to signal but most people don’t use it.
Then just don’t use the AI assistant or change over to a different messaging app., people are really making a mountain out of a mole hill
