Is it legal to wear full camo? My aunt bought me these for my birthday because she knows I love military stuff, and I know it’s illegal to wear the paddyflage DF patterns, but is it okay to wear the full outfit or would it be frowned upon or illegal?

Might be illegal to wear that camouflage that makes you look like a hedge but I’m sure a pair of combats and a jacket would be ok…

Pretty much every woman over 35 in South Dublin County has a pair of black camo Sweaty Betty leggings, so I’d say it is legal.

I’d say if you’re wearing the full kit out in public a fine would be the least of your worries, people will tell the story of that slagging to their children’s children.
Ahhh the posters who have linked the law regarding wearing Irish dpm are correct but no one has actually enforced that rule. Plus op is safe these patterns of camos are nothing like Irish dpm. So you could wear german flecktarn which I still think people wear as fashion??? But regardless op as others have said its not a crime but the fashion police will say something 🙂

Neither of those are patterns currently used by any army you’re all good. Besides I’ve seen plenty of former FCA lads wearing uniform pants on building sites, if it’s illegal it’s seldom enforced. Enjoy your present.

Wearing camo isn’t illegal however, wearing honorary medals with what could be perceived as a uniform can be considered misrepresenting yourself as a member of the defence force. Saying this, people in the defence force are strongly advised against wearing any part of their uniform outside of duty related tasks. I remember seeing an officer come into a hair dressers and grab a young lad who came in to get a haircut because he was wearing his uniform outside of duty hours and had no reason to be in them.

Another friend came to visit from Ireland wearing urban camo cargos, they stopped him in immigration at the airport and confiscated them from him until he left.
