There’s plenty of antithesis action to be had
There’s one other avenue that hasn’t been tried
lol … you think the law will stop this. Laughable! Half the laws in the book are written by nefarious businessmen who willingly and knowingly commit atrocities against the very environment they need to live for the betterment of their bottom line… No my friend the law will not save us.
“For the master’s tool will never dismantle the master’s house.”
Capitalists built our legal system. We will not defeat them with it.
Any appeal to authority will fail because capitalists are the authority.
The last resort is actually the defeat of capitalism by a mass movement of ordinary people. Unlikely as it seems.
“It is easier to imagine an end to the world than an end to capitalism”
But that is not the same as saying that the end of capitalism is not achievable. First though, we do have to break out of the capitalist realism frame and start imagining and believing in a world beyond it.
The looming war on courts is mostly for the benefit of the rich, but the promises will be sold as they are already: prosperity, energy security, growth, the American Dream etc.
Winning the cases in international courts isn’t going to be sufficient, but it is good to have moral victories. And those moral victories need to be weaponized, otherwise the [***holes](https://steadyhq.com/de/friedlichesabotage/posts/a1c14c1a-feb9-42ec-9678-358be77f8d99 ) fill up the air with their selfish whining about falling behind in their favorite game: the rat race.
As the article makes clear, having the laws is not enough when the threat is those who want to be above the law. Rules for thee, but for me.
