  1. Fuck the GOP, every single one of them are enablers.

  2. When big US Corporations realise that they aren’t selling abroad or gaining foreign investment because “trust” is the issue then hopefully the US will wake up and smell the coffee (imported with tarrifs of course)

It’s already started. Why would you buy defence equipment from a country that is going to drop you like a stone as an ally, refuse support, or in a worst case actually disable your weapons during a conflict as we have seen in Ukraine.

Would you trust your family to a car that could be remotely disabled by the manufacturer who you didn’t trust to sell you spare parts in the future?

  3. It’s important to note that there is still 18 months until the midterms and it’s hard to tell how much of this will actually factor in for voters.

He could pause the tariffs and the stock market would probably bounce back and all his supporters would forget all of this.

  4. >The poll found 51 percent of Americans agreed that the tariffs are “the largest peacetime tax hike in U.S. history,” split between 30 percent who said they “strongly agree” and 21 percent who “somewhat agree.” By contrast only 20 percent said they disagreed either strongly or somewhat, with the remainder not sure.

So 20% of Americans deny reality.

  5. Polls only matter if PEOPLE matter. If the PUBLIC matters.

But the sheep are being herded by wolves, so they shall support their orange god regardless.

“I HATE ALL THIS!” Then will you vote for someone else? “NEVER!”

  6. His ratings went from 47% to 43%, which is basically the political equivalent of being dumped via text message. Looks like the honeymoon is over, and now we’re all just trying to figure out how to get our stuff back.

  7. I want control of both houses of Congress after 2026. And I want Democrats to call votes against Trump every fucking week and make the GOP go on record. I also want the Dems to not confirm a single judge including obviously SCOTUS.

The playbook if they can do it should be legislation Trump hates and bring it to a vote constantly, paired with investigations and public hearings and complete freeze of all judicial appointments.

    This is bullshit.

  8. They’ll hold their noses and still vote Trump and Republican as long as the “libruls” are being hurt along side them.

  9. Should be, but after 50 years of conservative propaganda I’m not sure it’s going to matter. Especially with the anemic level of civic involvement from the average American.

  10. However bad it is, it isn’t bad enough.

His voters need to feel the squeeze to the point where they’re not just regretful, but angry, and then I need them to get angry at their Republican representatives that continue to allow it to happen.

I need that J6 energy but AGAINST Trump and Republicans at large. And then I need them to swear to never vote for the people that put us in this situation to begin with ever again.

Until I get that, his polling numbers aren’t low enough, and America’s hubris hasn’t been punished enough either.

  11. Way to go, Donald! Keep up the great work…right up to the mid-terms!

So 21 percent of the country is straight up rejecting facts? It’s not even an opinion, this is not debatable, it is a fact.

    We are so cooked

  13. Fuck you Newsweek for publishing garbage like this. We’re at critical mass here and your focus is on what might hurt republicans? Holy fuck why do Americans keep getting this shit feed to them

How about this: Donald Trump and his administration is driving nails into our coffins?

  14. Was that headline accurate? I’m not seeing a “ disaster” in those poll numbers.

  15. But wait, it gets worse. SCOTUS paused the return of the man Trump wrongly deported. It isn’t just Trump, it is the whole corrupt lot of them at issue.

  16. They’re deep in their diaper-huffing copium mode. Ask any single conservative and they’ll vomit themselves for the chance of kissing their dear leader’s pale ass

  17. The Republican Party died in 2016. It’s now the MAGA Party.

  18. Be very clear. This is a “Republican” thing, not just a “Trump” thing. I think Republicans are counting on people only blaming Trump, but this is their responsibility, their doing, and their FAULT.

  19. It’s not the “liberation day” but the “retribution day”. Trump just enjoys bullying other people, and gets enromous morbid pleasure from torturing others and making them feeling painful. Look at how brightly he smiled when he showed that ridiculous tariffs board. That’s how a rapist smiles when he rapes women cruelly and mericlessly against their will.

Trump is just a mankind hater, and everything he does is in the end to satisfy his desire of exacting revenge on all human beings, and make them kneel before him, so he can trample on them with his feet. He is just a sick, perverse and seriously mind-twisted person that is the enemy of all mankind, like Nero and Hitler.

  20. Does it even matter? These are the actions of a party that does not need to win elections again.

  21. Don’t believe polls. R’s would vote him in again in a second.

  22. Trump 1.0 would have pumped the brakes. 2.0 is literally out golfing while service members die. He does not care anymore what the fallout is for him and we need to be worried about that.

  23. The worst news of the poll is 48% agreeing with the statement “the U.S. subsidizes a lot of countries like Canada and keeps them in business”. I assume some of these people vote and have no idea how trade works. If it wasn’t a beneficial arrangement for both sides the trade wouldn’t happen. It’s not even a complicated idea and the amount of people who don’t understand is astounding.
