Great photos though, amazing what modern phones can do. There’s a few apps for top-end Android phones that rival professional cameras, but I won’t spam your thread with that.
The first one almost looks like it could be the surface of Mars!
Isle of Wight. Go on a gentle hike to see the Needles and its views of Alum Bay.
Stunning!
I really want to live somewhere I can go on walks like this. The dream. You’re so lucky.
The North West is great. You’ve got North Wales, Peak District and Lake District all within a reasonable drive away.
I mean it’s decent I guess but don’t you miss Gunwharf?
If I enjoyed the cold I would move up north too but them winters, no thanks I couldn’t afford the heating :/
Isn’t photo 16 High Force in Teesdale? I’d call that North East, personally. Having checked though, it’s pretty much in the middle of the two coasts.
Isle of Skye is stunning.
Pembrokeshire coast in Wales is another favourite place of mine.
I live in the north west and what’s insane to me is that it’s quicker to get puffin island in North Wales from where I live (2 hours) than it does central Wales (3 hours)
The first picture looks like a desert. I love it. My favourite places nearby are giants causeway and the Gortmore viewpoint.
Is everyone from down south relocating to the NW in droves or something? We only have so many properties available as it is for us natives 😳
Loving the coquettish over-the-shoulder look from the sheep in Pic 8.
Beautiful.
However I don’t get the “*Can you believe these were just taken on a Samsung?*” part of your post?
Is there some unforeseen inferiority of Samsung/Android cameras that I’ve yet to understand?
Snowdonia is amazing…
Looks shit ain’t even got a Ken’s mush.
So beautiful
North Wet more like.
Nicer this side of the Pennines – especially if you like beaches.
At first glance first photo makes it look like you’re exploring Mars of something, until you notice the grass.
Can’t help thinking it needs more trees.
Christ that’s stunning! I live in Milton Keynes and all we have are roundabouts and concrete sheep.
I did the same two years ago. Life couldn’t be better.
There are National Parks in every region of the country, each one is amazing in its own way. There were plans to designate more.

Can’t beat High Force and the Penine Way 🩷
Beautiful part of the world 🫶
Woah where in the north west are those wonderful looking places? I’ve never seen anything like that here before
I too moved north in September last year. They will bury me in the ground here. I love North Yorkshire, the people, the spirit, the big sky.
Absolutely stunning. The UK is such a beautiful place
My word that’s pretty.
The problem is my kids don’t entirely notice it. We rode round a hill and windermere was there in the distance, sparkling like a gem nestled between hills….
Had to make them stop and appreciate it!
Do not blame you one bit, I’m also leaving the social experiment that is Portsmouth soon
Little Dodd is honestly my favourite fell, it might be tiny and unimpressive standing underneath Skiddaw but that fact it’s nice easy to summit, accessible, is pointy and prominent (so the top “feels” like a proper mountain), has an incredible veiw over Bassenthwaite and Derwent Water and even to the coast on a clear day, AND it’s just far enough away from the more touristy bits of the lakes… it’s just an absolute cup of tea and a biscuit of a mountain, enjoyable to anyone

Now try Ellesmere Port or Widnes haha.
