3. Rand is the only one to vote against the new budget. Ya know, they increased spending, not decreased it, although it appears that they are cutting the government, they are NOT. Just kicking that can down the road, the same thing that always happens. Spending always increases, never decreases no matter which Uni-Party member is in office.

15. The problem is Trump’s worldview is bi-polar: either we are “winning” or “losing”, or “strong” vs “weak”. Simple as that. Trump views the trade deficit as “losing”, so he wants us to have a trade surplus so we can “win”.

    None of that is based on reality, of course. The US has had a trade deficit since 1972 and we have grown fairly consistently year-over-year. There’s no rational to believe the trade deficit is hindering our economy; it’s actually far easier to look at the data and say that the trade deficit has had no effect on the economy or is actually beneficial. None of that matters, though. He sees numbers on a page, decides those numbers are bad because they are to the right of a negative sign, and wants to change it.

    When contemplating his inner motivations for policies, don’t look too deep. Simply ask how a 16 year old having trouble getting a date to the prom would handle the situation. The results of this thought exercise will be more fruitful than to pretend Trump is a “skilled negotiator” or is playing some long, drawn out master plan. He simply isn’t that clever, and he’s made sure the people he’s surrounded himself with are duller than he is.

18. Every once in a while Rand says something that makes sense, but often it is just ideological crap. This vid presents the most asinine, naive, foolish statement he has ever made.
    Anyone who is still part of the Republican Party and does not yet understand that truth is whatever Trump most recently said it is, well then there is no place in the party for you. Today Canadian tariffs on dairy are currently 270%. Tomorrow Trump will declare they are 2,700%, the next day 0%.
    In Trumps world of ‘alternative facts’, whatever Trumps declares the truth, well then that is the truth.
