Golden hour hits different down these London lanes.

  1. Love this walk. Was there a few weeks ago for a meal in Le Pont de la Tour. Walked from Rotherhithe one day and caught the line forming there to pass by our late Queen in Westminster Hall.

  2. Interesting to probe what it is about these streets that are beautiful and evocative to people in 2025. When built these were working, industrial, largely utilitarian buildings. At some point they became rundown, slightly scary places to be. Is it nostalgia, real or imagined, for a less abstract world of work? Is it just that bricks and wrought iron is an inherently beautiful aesthetic in a way that would have been hard to appreciate with a billhook in your hand? Anyway, nice cobbles.

  3. Beautiful vista, I taken a similar shot during a blue sky day.

    Very nice.

  4. There’s an amazing Italian place down there I can’t for the life of me remember the name of, but if you stubble by it would highly recommend.

  5. Reminds me a lot of my trip to Hamburg not long ago. Thanks for sharing

  6. Can we stop saying ‘hits different’ for everything and use actual language?

  7. Adore that street in London. It never fails to bring me into the history feels. So iconic and bold.

  8. The catwalks are slanted as they were cargo warehouses and barrels were rolled between them. Work smart not hard!
