Need more context. Luxembourg has a lot of bridges, and by 1944 a total of 157 bridges ([source](https://www.regionalgeschichte.net/bibliothek/aufsaetze/krier-luxemburg-zweiter-weltkrieg.html)) had been blown up, mostly by the retreating German army.
