  1. Not round my end. Seems like new British citizens get them just fine

  2. Just come across on a boat. Councils will buy a new build just for you.

  3. Fast tracked if come over on dingy you get a taxi and council house we’re I’m from. And magic money card. We’re as the natives get a kick in the teeth.

  4. 50% of social housing in London is occupied by foreign born families.

  5. Any data on how many are under-stocked? E.g. with empty nesters who could be in a 1 or 2 bed space instead of a 3 bed house.

  6. If you don’t have a place to live, why are you having multiple children?

  7. I think this entirely depends on where you live. A family friend became a single mother at quite a young age and has constantly had family sized properties. Same as most people I have known with children.
The people I often see unable to get anything at all are people without children.

  8. Reading the article, it is hard to have sympathy..Angie has been on the wait list for 16 years, which isn’t fair. But, she has 4 kids, three of whom were born whilst on the wait list. She says her family cannot make it on their own, and complains about their current housing conditions, and says they deserve the same quality of life as everyone else. Fuck all sympathy, don’t have 4 kids and then expect everyone else to pay for them.

I earn a good wage, essentially subsidising low income families, and I don’t think I can afford to have kids.

  9. You can’t have open borders *and* a functioning wellfare state. It’s one or the other.

  10. UK population will increase by over two million people throughout this government’s term.
