  1. Russian analysts are very reliable sources, specially on these topics /s

and sources in the article are from pro russia site. This smells like Russian propaganda to me.

  2. Lithuania didn’t want Kaliningrad when Russia offered it to them, but they then make secret plans to take Kaliningrad? Rofl.

We should ignore Russian lies instead of posting about it in /r/Europe.

  3. *Moscow hopes to blacken the reputation of both countries and isolate them from the West.*

Oh boy, here we go with the dezinformatsiya. What’s the end goal? Another non-war with non-Russian non-soldiers in a country bordering Russia?

  4. Now I waiting for news like “*Lithuania and Poland Want to Restore Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, Russian Analysts Say*” /s

  5. Lol back when Lithuania was under Soviet thumb, we refused Kalinigrad due to Russians living there. I am sure we don’t want this land.

  6. In Soviet times Moscow actually offered Kaliningrad to Lithuania, but even our communists understood that this was just a trap to swiftly dilute ethnic composition of the country, and they thankfully declined the offer. Nobody in the country really wants the territory that is full of Russians.

  7. So Jamestown for the article chose to pick two analysts saying nonsense making it seem in its headline as if it’s some consensus among Russian analysts that Poland and Lithuania for serious are planning to separate Kaliningrad region from Russia?

  8. The best way would be making it an independent nation. It would neutralize the negative geopolitical effects on the baltic countries and Poland and also it wouldn’t start another shit-show on who gets to hold it. Because with whom would this dying nation of Lithuania populate Kaliningrad. Badgers, wild boars? They have no people to control it.

  9. While having border with russia is not The best thing in The world my Response is – fuck no.

  10. Give it back to the German people who originally inhabited the land? That way, we can rebuild the beauty of Königsberg of the 19th Century

  11. Everything that was once russian is trying to eat Russia alive, huh? It would also be very symptomatic of this current clown american lead world if a strong slavic union state consisting of Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania were to arise. You can’t give too much power to those in the butthurt belt.
