My MIL put this on the group chat this morning (don’t ask) – it’s footage from the wildlife camera in her garden and she’s not having it that it’s a spider. The more people we ask, the stupider the guesses get so (and I’m definitely going to regret this), is this not clearly a FUCKING SPIDER???

  1. Yes, it’s a spider. I have cameras at home, and they know flies are drawn to the infra-red. I’ve seen it loads.

  2. Yes – but a alien spider, native spiders don’t glow white like that

  3. Yea 100% spider. Get the same thing from time to time on our back garden camera.

  4. Definitely a spider

Now I need to know what the stupid guesses are

  5. It’s a miniature Spiderman you can see his little arms climbing up his tiny web.

  6. That’s obviously our lord and saviour Jesus Christ, risen again

  7. It’s either a weather balloon, or a submerged log, or just some chap in a costume.

  8. It’s a cat. But it’s one of those special cats that can manipulate its size and fly. Not sure how it’s glowing though, that don’t normally do that. Probably had some ready brek recently.

  9. The Rapture finally happened, but they only raptured this one specific pigeon on her lawn, everyone else was unworthy.

  10. All these brainwashed people…its clearly a minihastesloth. Not so extinct as you biologists thought. Ha.

  11. Surely they could just walk outside and see if he’s there, or at least if his house is there.

  12. To settle the argument, why didn’t you go outside to inspect the web that would be there or fast forward until daytime and see if you can spot it glistening.

  13. Someone buried a cat there once and it just got sucked off.

  14. It’s obviously Tom Cruise filming something for the next Mission Impossible film
