Sewage: Urgent plan to stop discharges into rivers and sea

  1. This is simply not the way, no point in fining them, it’s us that ends up paying it.

Fuck that, put the execs in maximum security prison, that’ll sharp generate some change.

Won’t ever happen with this so called democracy though.

  2. >George Eustice unveiled a plan to curb pollution from the “most damaging” storm overflows by 75% by 2035, and 80% of all discharges by 2050.

    *Urgent*

  3. ‘Urgent’ – weren’t the restrictions relaxed to allow this shit in the last year? This is just the Gov giving them a licence to continue doing what they’re doing.

Pretty soon the UK won’t have any decent countryside left.

  4. When are they going to stop agricultural runoff going into the rivers? Or microplastics and oils that get washed off the road every time it rains? This is just a kneejerk bullshit move based on what’s being reported in the news. News media has more power over the government than the electorate.

  5. Here’s a idea how about we put the sewage into a bio digester, create methane then burn it in generators to power the water works???

Almost like we could cost the amount of energy and use the shit to it’s fullest potential….
