Good to hear. Although it’s not one of the best located hotels, I do one day they will have a special transport service to bring them in and out to Castlebar. Or will they have to rely on the public bus and taxis?
Before this, if I remember correctly they were thinking about turning the hotel into a nursing home I can understand why I stayed in the hotel once and didn’t find it particularly great.
Hopefully the food is alright, I know a lot of refugees find the food at these hotels subpar.

ah thats nice. I filled in the form for accommodating, like a lot of people, but to be honest I’d imagine being in a place with a lot of your fellow citizens is a bit better right now.
It’s great, even if it’s a safe place to stay until they can transition to other types of accommodations.
Lmao they put all the lookers in the pic for sure
The government are booking up hotels for the next year, they are bound to vary in quality.
Nice timing to have an influx of people ready and willing to work with all the staff shortages post-Covid restrictions. I hope the service industry doesn’t take advantage of them with the pre-2020 wages though.
(And yes I do realise there’ll be people with a wide range of skill sets and professions, not just service/retail)
if hotels all over the country are being blocked booked for months ahead, where are the tourists going to stay? I guess if they can’t find accommodation they will be staying away.
