This old gague that was used for the gas in my parents house about a decade ago was and still is ticking like a clock randomly all of a sudden? Does anybody know what this means?

  1. That is called a timer switch .. the clock sets when the heating comes on and goes off. If it is ticking it means there is power going to the switch which is powering the clock . If the heating system is gone now and you don’t need it you should get it disconnected.

  2. A ticking clock in the wall that suddenly starts ticking out of nowhere? Tell me, have you seen Tomb Raider? The end of the world may well be nigh!
