The board of Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) has asked the Government to increase the remuneration of its chief executive, who earned a total of €269,000 last year.
Cathal Marley’s basic salary was €225,000, and the public body also paid €31,000 in pension contributions and €13,000 in other short-term benefits.
