Industrial production in Slovenia dropped by 2.4% year-on-year in February 2025 from a downwardly revised 2.1% rise in the previous month.
The decline was mainly due to a sharp decrease in output for mining and quarrying (-22.3% vs 14% in January) and manufacturing (-3.8% vs 0.7%).
Meanwhile, production continued to increase for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (12.1% vs 12.2%).
On a monthly basis, industrial activity went down by 1.5% in February, following a downwardly revised 0.6% advance in the preceding period.
