I guess people need to investigate and keep track of this stuff to keep them “in check” or whatever, but idk… At this point, I cannot imagine going to any significant effort to do so given the likelihood of anyone seeing any sort of accountability.

The entire presidential immunity argument is based on a 2000 OLC memo which cited a 1973 OLC memo which postulates a situation where the president COULD have immunity but then immediately gives reasons why it does not: There is no express provision in the Constitution which confers such immunity upon the President. Don’t let them tell you their opinions are facts.
