  1. My aunt has this and has outlived expectations but damn, it’s brutal. Seeing her suffer isn’t even close to how she feels to be so trapped by a disease that’s killing her autonomy and ability to participate in her own life. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

    I hope he can be as comfortable and supported as possible to help him through this excruciating condition.

  3. My great-grandmother had this and it’s absolutely awful from what I remember. It was so bad that my great-grandfather didn’t tell anyone that he was sick because he wanted all the care from the family to go to her, while he dealt with his illness alone with doctors. He ended up passing before her unfortunately and no one knew the extent of his illness until after.

  4. I guess all that dumping buckets of ice water didn’t really help anyone.

  5. My cousin was diagnosed and they tried everything to treat her. She only lasted a year. It’s a horrible disease.

  7. I first knew him as Multiple Man in X3. He was also one of Phoebe’s boyfriends in Charmed. I’m rooting for you, McSteamy!

  8. My dad had FTD/ALS, the sad part was by the time he was diagnosed I realized too late he wasn’t all there anymore, but he loved going on walks and we did the best we could while he could, love you Dad ♥️

  9. Oh God, how awful, I know this sounds brutal, but this is a death sentence, poor man. It really breaks my heart

  10. My grandma died from this. It was a slow death. She was 100% mentally there and her body was shutting down trapping her within her own body. Never will forget her telling my cousin to kill her when she couldn’t lift her head and the rest of her body.

    I hope Eric has a great support system.

  13. Is it considered terminal? Can someone with it chose assisted right to die? I hope so. That’s what i would want.

  16. This just breaks my heart for him. I know he and Rebecca filed for divorce back in 2018 but never divorced, and it appeared at some point tried to work it out or were just staying a close family. Probably a bit a both during the last seven years. I admired that about both of them. When she announced dropping the divorce, she says they are the best of friends, very close, great co-parents. Now we know the reason why she’s had the divorce petition dismissed He’s been dating *Priya Jain since sometime late last year. when they were first photographed together. Edited: Also, Rebecca was photographed holding hands with Hard Rock Hotel founder, Peter Morton, on March 2nd, someone she’s been spotted out with over the last couple of years.*

    *What a blow for his poor children. He lost his father when he was seven and fatherhood means a great deal to him.*

  19. My Grandma died of this horrible disease. Diagnosed in October and by January could not speak, walk, or chew. She passed away in March. 💔
