Slovakia’s construction output rose by 3.4% year-on-year in February 2025, slowing from a 7.2% growth the previous month.

The slowdown was influenced by the moderate growth in the two major components of domestic production: new construction (2.7%) and repairs and maintenance of buildings (2.2%).

Construction of buildings also dropped slightly (-0.3%).

Meanwhile, work on engineering structures rebounded strongly, growing by 5% after nine consecutive months of contraction.

Additionally, construction activity abroad increased significantly.
