  1. [A truce never stops a war. If peacekeepers appear on the occupied border, this means that you are losing your territory. No country will agree to sacrifice its territorial integrity.   2. Well,, it has happened in the past. For example, Germany gave up large areas to PWW2nd after WW2, Poland gave large areas to what is now Ukraine, Finland gave WW2 aafter-WW2s to Russia, etc.
