3. This is dumb on several levels

   1. 56,583*10,000 = $565,830,000 <$6,000,000 from Denmark, you are already low balling after bungling the past several months. I am also going to guess this won’t be a yearly payment but just a one time thing.
   2. Direct investment into individuals is the least effective way to pursue economic growth and prosperity. 6 million invested into Greenland economy through tourism and business subsidies would be more effective than just writing a check to each person
   3. Maybe you should have started with the bribes and investments first before making threats.

   It’s the political equivalent of constantly trying to rape a neighbour’s spouse.  They won’t accept no for an answer, they show up when they aren’t wanted. 

   Predators don’t accept mild deterrence.

   They need to be bitten before they’ll even acknowledge resistance.

   They don’t accept the autonomy of others.

6. This is an absurd lowball offer that nobody in their right mind would go for. The US could realistically afford to give every Greenlander $500,000 and it would still “only” cost $30 billion to do – a fraction of the government’s budget and less than what Elon paid for Twitter. Would I sell out my sovereignty for $10k? Almost certainly not. For $500k? I don’t know

7. Greenland should be thrilled to be a US territory. Just look at all the great things we e done for Puerto Rico! /s

10. I guess when Denmark vetoed this (their parliament must vote on Greenaland’s independence), USA then invade Greenland saying that its residents agreed, so they would be aving them big bad colonizer named Denmark?
