Today, I was happy to witness the signature of five new agreements with Ukraine.

These cover important areas, from rebuilding Ukraine’s energy infrastructure to the participation in our Copernicus satellite programme.

  1. Honestly, this is the best we can do when direct military action is not on the table (which i disagree with – I really think we should have done way more), but at least we give Ukraine a glimpse of hope in becoming one of us and being stronger than ever in the future. Proud to be European. Slava Ukraini.

  2. Total support for heroes fighting for freedom and democracy against the last European dictatorships. Every day I think about you guys.

  3. As the world order rearranges and the US withdraws from the world stage this is bound too happen. Whoever is on the side of democracy and a stable market economy will drift towards the EU. Whoever doesn’t care too much about the democracy part may align with China.

Happy to see Ukraine and the EU get closer, in these uncertain times to the benefit of both.

  4. So . . . is the EU going to give actual weapons, and actual permissions, and actually let Ukraine win?
Because they’ve been pretty half-hearted so far.

  5. It’s ironic that the West needs to build an iron curtain. But as soon as it’s feasible it needs to happen.

  6. Well, it is there fault… They gave Russia the $$ and the will to do it.
