  1. tragic no job is worth your life*

*exceptions being those roles where people put their lives on the line to protect the country and the public while it’s still tragic when those people die they are at least putting their lives on the line for the greater good

  2. Was this proofread!

‘The inquest heard this was acceptable within Nottingham City Transport’s policies, which allow buses to leave stops up to a minute early, dragging her under the tyres.’

  3. The bus driver’s account sounds like bollocks. If you’re leaving early (even if ‘within acceptable parameters’) you’re looking out for latecomers before you pull off. She banged on the door ffs. He saw her and ignored her.

Obviously he wouldn’t have expected her to go under the wheel.

  4. This is why you don’t run into the road and bang on the door of a moving bus after it’s left the stop, especially when it’s dark.

Sadly this is a case of someone’s reckless actions resulting in a tragic accident. They have no one to blame but themselves.

  5. “In a statement read to the court, bus driver Anthony Watson said he heard a “sudden bang” as he set off. He said: “I don’t know what the bang was. It was just a noise on the side of the bus. I don’t know where it came from. I didn’t see anything. It startled me.””

Liar. Why did he not slow down to check what the banging was? Because he could not be bothered.
