On April 12, 2025, 26-year-old Pavel Ivanov died while performing a combat mission on an F-16 aircraft. All the circumstances of the tragedy are being established by an interdepartmental commission, which has already begun its work. Eternal flight, hero!

  4. Unfortunately, it was to be expected as they’re older variants, which is sad, plus it’s a warzone. Wish the uk italy Germany france, Sweden would send the latest versions of eurofighter gripen or rafales. I won’t mention the us because it wasn’t even the us that sent F16s. Let’s hope the Swedish awacs planes come online soon to increase survivability. Even if russia shot it down, it took them over a year to hit an f16 it’s not an achievement, as in any all-out war, you’re going lose aircraft but on a more important it’s sad we lost a hero heroiam slava
