I'm not a fan of these things but no one got hurt.

  1. Time to ban these things for good. They had a net-ZERO benefit to our community. Will the pilots lose a job? Sure, but unfortunately it’s for the greater good. They make the city look cheap and tacky, and of course total scams. I get 2nd hand embarrassment when I see tourists laughing and joking as they pass by – I know as soon as the ride ends, they’ll be slapped with a high charge. Get them off our streets.

  2. BAN THEM NOW – if people want transport on their own use black cabs

  3. I would be in favour of banning them, though I don’t think this is much of a reason.

Cars catch fire pretty often and we don’t call for them to be banned as a result.

  4. I foresee many more fires as the weather warms up. They’re not build properly and won’t be able to keep cool in the summer.

  5. The passengers were offered a £5400 discount. That’s nearly half price!

  6. It’s not just bad batteries; it’s hobbyist wiring.

  7. I was steps away when it blew up. I could feel the heat on the back of my neck. It’s a relief that the fire station was only just around the corner on Shaftesbury!

  8. More please. Or banning them outright. A glaring eyesore

  9. I did wonder what had happened. I was stuck on a bus that then tried to do a three point turn when the road was closed

  10. The only thing I hate more than these things, are the people that don’t hate them.

  11. I for one welcome our new combustible eco friendly overlords

  12. Just waiting for drivers to take pavers off this issue

  13. I was there at the area when it went to flames. It was a small spark, and then, in an instant, huge flames. Thankfully, no one was injured.

  14. Ugly. Tasteless. Scam. Burn them all down. They don’t belong in this city.
