When is the “daily update” the judge specifically asked for due? Not saying they’ll actually bother giving it to them, but I just wondered the timeline
I whole heartedly believe this man is either dead, or they’re purposefully delaying long enough for the gangs to get to him and make him so. Can’t have him doing a tell all after he gets out. F this entire “administration”
Fucking hell, what are the chances he got murdered there?
Probably already dead. They dragging their feet because they know the fallout from this will be big.
“Mistakenly Deported”? More like KIDNAPPED and HUMAN TRAFFICKED.
Trump paid El Salvador to dispose of the individuals with which he trafficked there, since the Epstein aligned criminal regime clearly had every intention of violating their constitutional and international human rights.
Sorry, but that’s a single fucking phone call or email to find his whereabouts
They’re lying.
Something tells me we are about to learn that this guy had a “medical issue” and died. There is no way in hell that this administration is letting anyone come home to tell their story.
Lot of people suggesting he could be dead or they don’t want him to tell everyone what happened.
A third option is El Salvador has no incentive to give him up. They’re probably extorting Trump for a huge payout which makes his screw up look even worse.
If they can do this to him, they can do it to you too.
He’s not coming back alive, and this wasn’t a mistake. If you’ve ever seen an immigration file, this is not a plausible error. Someone with protection from removal under CAT has a multi-page written decision from an immigration judge, signed by that judge, as the first thing in their file. This was an attempt at a test case.
so basically…the US government…this trump administration…deported an innocent man….a civilian…could care less…has no idea where he is…this is a death sentence for this poor man.
Don’t forget Latinos voted for this, and will do it again
Yes they do. Mass grave.
It is a death camp.
If she can fly there for a photo op, she can fly there and get him.
Hold them all in contempt. Put them in jail until he is back.
Law suits law suits up the Yingyang
Dudes dead and they don’t want to admit they got him killed.
🖕🏽To all latinos that voted for trump, including my sister who i’ve disowned.
This was entirely expected. Terrible but not surprising in the least.
We can all read through the lines. This poor gentleman is dead. Trump and his administration must face consequences.
>At a heated court hearing on Friday, Judge Xinis repeatedly pressed Justice Department attorneys for updates on García’s status and location. The government was unable to confirm whether García was still in El Salvador or in whose custody he remained.
Why won’t the Justice Dept. attorneys answer the question about his location? We know he was taken to CECOT. There’s even a photo of him there — his wife identified him in the photo. So I don’t understand why his location is a mystery all of a sudden. They could have just answered “He’s at CECOT.” Maybe they’re just dodging every question on purpose to try to stall as much as possible. Or maybe he’s not at CECOT anymore, or maybe he’s… I hope not.
Fuck Nazis and their death camps.
Stop saying “deported.” They put him in a hellhole prison and they’re paying to have him held there.
Someone please ask the group chat
And they neither care nor will suffer consequences, but at least millionaires will get a tax break! /s
The judge needs to hold as many people as she can in contempt and throw the book at them. If he is dead, the publicity over the contempt shit show will keep this in the public light.
This is some Russia gulag shit
Gee, that was …
Predictable.
The officials in charge need to go to jail for contempt until he’s freed.
If he’s dead, then the officials who signed the papers need to go on trial for murder.
Short of that, we have concentration camps in 6 months.
In other words, despite being ordered by a judge a week ago to get this guy back, they did absolutely nothing. Now, of course they were fighting that order, however, they should’ve been trying to get back someone they mistakenly sent anyways. They’ve clearly made no effort whatsoever in this matter.
All inmates in CECOT are expeditiously brought back and their cases handled properly on American soil or everyone in the administration with any tangential connection to this faces contempt of court cases as well as impeachment.
This whole situation is extremely wrong (unconstitutional and illegal in many other ways as well as unethical|immoral … plain and simply UnAmerican) and needs to be dealt with from that perspective.
I’m pretty sure they know, trump has a big ego, do we think he would take an “I don’t know” from the president of El Salvador?
Just because they SAY they don’t know doesn’t mean they DON’T know.
What is so hard about locating that man? Just ask Bukele, he is your friend, isn’t he? They didn’t send him to Afghanistan or to the middle of the Amazon Rainforest
Simple solution. One DOJ attorney in jail for every day that passes. Starting with Bondi.
I want bondi behind bars for premeditated murder if this man ends up dead.
Judge should start holding DOJ lawyers in contemp and jail them.
It’s important to know, this is a test.
They are “testing” every system in place to see how far they can push.
The results of this test, are very, very important. I fear the worst. So should you.
fam, we rioting?
I hate that the media keeps referring to this as ‘mistaken’ deportation. The administration INTENDED to deport him… that wasn’t a mistake.
What they didn’t intend was to get caught.
He dead. They know it.
Being a little pedantic here for a very good reason. The government didn’t say they didn’t know, they said they were not ready to make a statement to the judges questions, which is so much worse.
it means there are four possible outcomes:
1. The government truely doesn’t know where he is or if he’s alive because El Salvador isn’t telling them, showing a massive lack of control or cooperation from thier government.
2. The government does or doesnt know where he is or if he’s alive, and they’re not saying anything because they’re still mulling over ignoring the supreme courts order and looking for ways to get around it.
3. The government knows exactly where he is and if he’s alive and are holding back because they need to get their stories straight before they come back to court to explain why (he’s dead/he’s been tortured/El Salvador doesn’t want to give him back) because the judge is gonna order people jailed at this point.
4. They know where he is and if he’s alive and need to buy time for the el Salvadorian government to change one of those things.
I don’t want to be pessimistic, but if they knew where he was, knew he was alive and un-tortured, the el salvidorian government were willing to give him back, and the administration intended to follow the Supreme courts order, Kilmar would have been in that courthouse yesterday and the trump administration wouldn’t be asking for 4 more days before they’re willing to state for the record that he’s even in el Salvador.
He’s dead, they’re just trying to figure out how to get around that.
Yea since dude wasn’t in a gang he’s probbalt dead
If this guy is dead or seriously injured I hope every single story about it is opened with Kristi Noem’s video from that prison.
If they can’t locate him, they we can assume the US government is responsible for his murder.
The cattle cars only come back empty, guys.
