Considering the UK networks still have unlock portals on their website which will quickly provide the codes for any locked phone, I find it impossible to believe that Telekom cannot do this. Very disappointing if it’s true.

I am an enthusiast and collector of vintage phones, so, telling me “get a new phone” is not going to be helpful. thank you

  2. You could ask the Bundesnetzagentur if they are allowed to block it, but I can see why telekom say that they don’t do it anymore.

    They turned off 3G and plan to turn off 2G 2028, if the code need a connected device in the cell tower that can get complicated, also the phone wouldn’t work anymore so they think “it’s a brick, the customer will only make problems”.

  3. Herr [Entfernt], es gibt glaube ich mittlerweile einige Webseiten auf denen sich die Carrier Unlock Codes für ältere Nokias direkt generieren lassen…
