  1. The economist finding out basic fucking facts 18 months into a genocide. Next they’ll say “Russia has invaded Ukraine” or “The right wants to eradicate the LGBTQ+ people”. The plan from the start was to remove all Palestinians from Gaza.

  2. Smash and clear the area of terrorists? Not just Hamas, but now “terrorists?” What does Israel say about preserving civilians? Ah, yes, I remember:

    >There are no innocents in Gaza.

    This isn’t just something that the Israeli government broadcasts in ads on TV and across the web. It’s something IDF commanders emphasise to their troops, people say on TV, and [Jewish](https://www.jns.org/the-myth-of-gazas-innocent-majority/) [newspapers](https://www.thejewishstar.com/stories/the-truth-is-there-are-no-innocents-in-gaza,24512) in the US now repeat and emphasise.

    This isn’t about Hamas. This is about genocide. Making life in Gaza impossible for Palestinians. The demand we play along with the word games and use the euphemisms and refuse to connect the dots has to be rejected. We have to call out the genocide for what it is.
