Satirist Patti Basler has been announced as providing alternative commentary for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 for SRF.

SRF has announced that Patti Basler will be providing alternative commentary for the final of the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Patti will be commentating live from a glass box in the Eurovision Village at the Messeplatz in Basel.

She is set to be joined by guests during the final including Philipp Kuhn, Dominique Müller and Corinne Sutter. The alternative commentary will be available to watch via Play SRF online. Viewers on SRF’s TV channels will watch the contest commentated on by Sven Epiney.

Eurovision 2025

Switzerland earned the honor of hosting Eurovision 2025 after the Swiss artist Nemo triumphed at the 2024 contest with their song “The Code.” The entry scored an impressive 591 points, with 365 from the jury and 226 from the televote, securing Switzerland’s first victory since 1988.

The 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Basel on May 13, 15, and 17, 2025.
