In 2024, companies paid €3.91 billion in compulsory state social insurance contributions (SSIC) and €2.12 billion in personal income tax (PIT).

The largest taxpayers in 2024 were fuel traders Neste Latvija Ltd (€206.33 million), Orlen Latvija Ltd (€202.32 million) and Circle K Latvia Ltd (€193.16 million).

Those were followed by tobacco wholesalers Baltic Sales Network Ltd (€156.39 million) and Philip Morris Latvia Ltd (€139.44 million), the fuel traders Pirmas Ltd (€120.38 million) and Virši-A JSC (€101.16 million), the energy company Latvenergo JSC (€92.84 million), the tobacco wholesaler MV Group Distribution LV Ltd (€77.46 million) and Swedbank (€76.74 million).

The leader in both personal income tax (PIT) (EUR 22.66 million) and compulsory state social insurance contributions (CSIC) (EUR 40.39 million) in 2024 was the Rīga Eastern Clinical University Hospital, which last year provided jobs for almost 5,400 employees.

The second largest company in terms of PIT paid was airBaltic (€18.72 million) and the third largest was Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital (€15.89 million).
