Princess Eugenie has a super sweet nickname which is used by her nearest and dearest. While she may be King Charles’ niece, behind closed doors, Eugenie, 35, is a mother, a sister and a daughter, and, as a result, has been granted a cute pet name which is used by her parents and other members of her family.
This nickname was revealed just last month when the princess celebrated her 35th birthday. In a heartfelt post on social media, Sarah, Duchess of York shared a public birthday message to her daughter, along with a series of photographs, to mark the milestone.
One of these photographs showed an impressive pink cake with the words “Eugie Boogie” on it. It is believed this is the nickname Eugenie goes by at home with her family.
This sweet moniker delighted fans and reminded them of another royal who also had an equally sweet and similar-sounding nickname.
Back in 2023, Princess Kate was heard using a very cute phrase to call Prince Louis over while the family volunteered at the 3rd Upton Scout Group in Slough for King Charles’ Coronation weekend.
This was when the princess was helping Prince Louis with toasting some marshmallows over an open flame. While handing him a stick to throw into the fire, Kate said: “Pop that in the fire, Lou Bugs”.
Eugenie and Louis are just two of the many royals who have sweet nicknames which have been made public.
Other royals with sweet pet names include Louis’ sister, Princess Charlotte, nine, who is often called Lottie by her parents and was previously called Mignonette by her father during a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019.
