  1. Absolutely! Avoid having animals unless they actually do usefull work for you, ala [real service dogs](https://articles.hepper.com/service-dog-statistics-and-facts/).

If you want to spend time with dogs, then make friends with more dog owners and visit them and their dogs. Almost everyone who owns a dog needs help sometimes, like when they must travel for work, so they love having friends who’ll happily dog sit.

Also, some cats become good mousers, but the internet thinks buying a good mouser sounds really hard, use bucket lid mouse traps or rolling log bucket mouse traps instead.

  2. “Although we’ve pointed out these issues with dogs in natural environments…there is that other balancing side, which is that people will probably go out and really enjoy the environment around them—and perhaps feel more protective about it—because they’re out there walking their dog in it.”

    This also matters!

  3. What a load of Bull Sh*t, I bet they didn’t research the environmental impact they have on the planet. I’ve read some Cr*p but this belongs in a sewage plant.

  4. Just like humanity. Men and dogs are truly made for each other.
