  1. Hah snap! Just made (and deleted) this in duplicate.

    Phenomenal race for him!

  2. What a race! Cool head on him compared to yesterday, so so happy for him!

  3. Great race from him, thought Browning might have caught him when he got into second but unreal pace from Dunne

  4. And on the 2 year anniversary of losing Craig Breen. If he keeps this up, he’s got a good shout of an F1 seat next year

  5. Stellar race by him. Over 5 seconds ahead of the field and had pace to spare compared to the other soft-hard runners.

Also grabbed a note for history as this was the 200th F2 Feature Race.

Quick edit to the title: He is 2nd in the F2 drivers championship

  6. Rapid pace from him today, and kept his cool! Love to hear amhran na bhfiann at F2 💪

  7. Brilliant, can’t wait to find something to drag him down about. I’ll sniff about and get the begrudgery we need because as we know in Ireland no one is allowed to succeed.

In all seriousness well done to the young man, amazing achievement.

  8. He just left the rest of the pack far behind. Very impressive.
Does anyone know if he would be one of the favourites to win F2 this year, or was this a surprise?

Would be amazing if in the future he could make it into F1

  9. Glad that Bahrain have the Irish national anthem for the podium, few circuits got caught out by that back in the day…

  10. The Irish national anthem to be played for the first time on an F1 weekend since Jordan won in 1999 (they were robbed in 2003 of the opportunity). If only Eddie was around to hear it

  11. Hearing the anthem for the first time in the 21rst century
    On the podium

  12. Not only won it… completely dominated it. He’s the real deal.

  13. And he won on pure pace. No weird race shenanigans involved. He’s obviously very quick, if he can keep his head (unlike yesterday), he can be the full package

This is huge for Irish motor racing

  14. Fantastic result especially coming back from a disappointing end to a very competitive showing yesterday

    Edit: Brain fart

  15. Give him a year or two and if the F1 politics treat him well then I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the grid with a midfield team

  16. It was a seriously mature drive by him today after he lost the head yesterday. More luck to him.

I think he’ll grow to be at the same standard, or higher, than some F1 drivers. Don’t think he’ll get a seat though, especially with the caliber of drivers who’ve missed out on F1 over the past few years – including some F2 winners.

I reckon he’ll end up at Indycar long term and drive the wheels off it.

  17. Followed his progress from karts, never thought I’d see the day. Amazing day for Irish motorsport, not long after we lost Eddie and on Craig’s anniversary
