  15. If the MAGA cult is still intact, the Republicans will let the country collapse before they turn on Trump. If they’re seen as disloyal to him, they’ll have a hard time winning another election. Their challenge is to push him out or take him down in such a way that they can blame the Democrats for it.

  17. It would take a catastrophic decision from the White House to move the house republicans to do anything on impeachment. Even if that were to happen the next in like in Vance who is no better.

  19. The endangerment depends on republicans finding strength and courage, to decide that their loyalty to the constitution outweighs party loyalty.

  20. It’s easy to decry the cowardice of both houses of congress in the face of Trump, but the fact is that their constituents, who they are elected to represent, support him. If they are voted out they’ll be replaced with more of the same, or worse.

    When Trump starts losing support then congress can start trying to defy him. Unfortunately, the institutions that actually made this country great are being attacked and weakened by Trump and his supporters.
