  1. Here what you need to do when traveling to most countries including the USA and Canada:

    * Delete all pictures, files, and documents from your phone and store them in a cloud account.
    * Delete any cloud apps, or accounts so that nothing can get downloaded to your phone until after you pass customs.
    * DO NOT USE BIOMETRIC LOCKS as legally they can force you to use them. Instead use a passcode.
    * Turn your phone completely off before you get to customs and again when you land.
    * Do not provide any passwords to customs, if forced to then type it in yourself, don’t share it.
    * Clear any email history that is anything other than vacation plans.
    * Disconnect any and all social media accounts from your phone. Better yet delete the apps entirely.

  2. If they do this in plain sight, imagine what it’s being done with your data hosted by US services behind closed doors

  3. Hey Europeans, please don’t come here. There’s no such thing here as freedom of speech anymore. We are under a totalitarian/dictatorship government. This tyrannical government has no respectfor the laws. They will lock you up and ship you off to El. Salvador, be warned! Please wait 4 years.

  4. TSA is turning into what we’re accusing China of being with their satellite police offices in different countries. I don’t get why anybody would risk travelling there at the moment; a TSA officer recently mistook a [tattoo of a clock](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly22xm8kx1o) as being evidence of a Brit being a Venezuelan gang member.

It’s one thing to not go to the US to simply vote with your wallet right now — but who in their right mind would risk it, even with a 2% chance of being shipped to El Salvador without a defence?

  5. If you have to go to America. Having your phone checked in dublin is probably better than having your phone checked in the US. As least the US immigration cant detain you in dublin just orevent you from entering the country.

  6. As an American. Do not go to the US, do not cooperate with the US, do not invest in the US. Stop the gears of the machine from grinding more souls. The machine must die. This fascist regime must end. This will never end well with Trump and his thugs. Everything is getting worse here.

  7. A gun is probably a fine, but a pro Palestine or anti Trump post on Facebook means concentration camp.

  8. Why would I ever want to travel to the US? It’s currently on the same list at Russia and North Korea.

  9. I wouldn’t feel that safe transiting through the us any more. Maybe just take a burner with you

  10. Am American. Don’t recommend you come visit. 0/10 would not recommend. Place is a shit hole.

  11. Why people bothers travelling to a place that already suspects you are a criminal before you even step into the plane? On top of that if you have an encounter with the police there, it could easily be way worst than having your phone checked.

Everyone should make themselves a favour and travel around Europe, Africa, Asia, Central or South America, Canada… but let’s save yourself the drama and avoid U.S.A.

  12. It’s absolutely incredible that western democratic nations’ passport holders could be held for weeks without being able to contact someone over an antiTrump or Musk text or tweet. The USA has become more like Russia than the free world. It is truly frightening.

  13. Honestly I can now say that the United States has the biggest dictatorship the world has ever seen.

  14. Why is ireland putting up with this? Don’t they have the ability to kick us customs out of their airports?

  15. Remember, you’re still in Ireland , you can refuse, turn around and walk away, they cannot stop you, you will lose your flight, but you won’t end up in a South American prison.

  16. Land of the free?

    lol

More like the land of thin skin and fragile egos.

We are all laughing at you USA.
