Just imagine if we were integrated and Turkish Cypriots posted a bouquet of Turkish flags like this on the anniversary of its founding. How would it make us feel? This is why they don’t take us seriously when we say we want to be united. We don’t. We’re our own biggest supporters of partition. We don’t think of this island as a place for both Greek and Turkish Cypriots with its own identity. It makes me sad.
