1. Christ almighty that’s terrible 

   A wee girl playing near the river and falls in. God help her family I hope the community rallies around them

2. Things like this make me hug my daughter extra tight :'(

3. unfortunately this was going to be the case when it comes to water time is of essence. water survival and safety is not taught often enough, i live in a costal holiday town and the number of people who get into trouble in the waters is unbelievable.

   Also signs don’t work because people don’t read them or understand the true dangers.

4. Just awful. I hope the family have good support and can eventually come to terms with it.

   Heartbreaking. They look relatively safe and I’m a swimmer and a boater but I still always dread using those ramps. I wouldn’t be able to count how many mishaps we’ve had on them.

6. It’s so scary how the Thames can just swallow you up for weeks at a time and then spit you out miles way. Truly tragic incident.
