From [e.g., 10 April 2025], the liquid chlorine gas distribution in Spain will be operated by Gazechim’s subsidiary Gruppo Gas Iberica. As a specialty gas distributor Gruppo Gas Iberica already operates one of Spain’s main chlorine distribution center in Flix.
As of April 10, 2025, Gruppo Gas Iberica, a subsidiary of Gazechim, has taken over Brenntag’s chlorine gas distribution in Spain.
Already operating a major site in Flix, it now also runs operations from Brenntag’s Seville plant.
The move strengthens its role in supplying liquid chlorine for potable water, swimming pools, and key industrial applications.
The acquisition of the chlorine distribution business of Brenntag expand Gruppo Gas Iberica presence in Spain.
Gruppo Gas Iberica will continue to operate distribution of chlorine from Brenntag Seville Plant on top of its main platform of Flix.
