  4. See, this is where Democrats could be screaming across the whole country about Republicans fucking over all of us, allowing the rich to strip away the last bit of what the poor have. But this is something that way too many of them have a bad history on as well, especially leadership. This is why it’s important to find candidates that are truely representative of the population they serve. Most Americans don’t invest huge amounts of wealth in the market – why should our politicians be any different?

  9. To what end? Anything he does is presumtpively legal. Do you think Congress will impeach and remove him this time? Do you think they value the lives of their children that cheaply?

I really don’t understand all these calls for investigating various Trump cronies for insider trading.   The SEC like all the other federal agencies, is under the thumb of Trump so there is no realistic possibility of a serious investigation. When people demand one I think they’re just grandstanding.

    GOP need to impeach Trump but never will. This is what a “constitutional crisis” looks like. If the clauses in the constitution are not upheld and there is no enforcement mechanism. You don’t have a basis for “Rule of Law”, you have chaos and anarchy – welcome to America.

  45. At this point Trump can shoot someone in the face in broad daylight in a crowded area and nothing will happen to him. He said it himself, full on Homelander at the end of season 3.

    Under normal circumstances, and by normal circumstances I mean any reality where Trump isn’t in power and his corruption and misconduct hasn’t been sane-washed by his party, the media and the general public, the current administration would be under investigation already for multiple scandals. There would already be mass resignations and bipartisan calls for inquiries, special counsel probes and impeachments.

    But all of this corruption has become practically legitimized due to it becoming so frequent and overwhelming that there’s such little time, resources and energy to address each and every scandal after the next.

    Regardless, this type of thing should be investigated under any circumstances. It’s not a question of what you believe happened, this isn’t something that gets brushed under the rug damnit.
